Even five years after its inauguration, the Tonhalle organ continues to amaze audiences with its overwhelming richness of colour. What tonal secrets are hidden behind the imposing façade? Under the expert guidance of Gunter Böhme from Orgelbau Kuhn, who was responsible for the voicing of the organ, and with musical examples from students of the ZHdK and organ curator Tobias Willi, we invite you on a journey of discovery into the tonal splendour of this extraordinary instrument.
The Zurich International Organ Festival is curated by Prof. Christian Schmitt and Prof. Tobias Willi in consultation with Prof. Michael Eidenbenz, President of the Association of Friends of the New Zurich Tonhalle Organ.
