The concert features an orchestra of 64 Portuguese musicians, most of whom live, study, or work in Switzerland, and includes internationally acclaimed Portuguese soloists such as Sérgio Pires (clarinet), João Barradas (accordion), and Vasco Dantas (piano), alongside musicians with distinguished careers in leading Swiss and European orchestras led by Pedro Neves, principal conductor of the Lisbon Metropolitan Orchestra. This non-profit concert is unique as it marks the first time an orchestra composed mainly of Switzerland-based Portuguese musicians will perform at Tonhalle. Furthermore, the three Portuguese composers have never been performed in Switzerland before, and all the soloists will share the stage together for the first time.
