The cello section of the Tonhalle-Orchester Zürich has also established itself as an independent ensemble in recent years. Now, together with cellist and focus artist Sol Gabetta and actor Thomas Sarbacher, it is presenting an actual "theatre concert" with texts by Robert Walser, scenic elements, sophisticated lighting direction - and highly emotional works. "Music is the sweetest thing in the world to me," wrote Robert Walser, "I can jump a thousand steps to hear a note. (...) I want to die listening to a piece of music". The sweetness, the jumping, the dying: This unusual programme will be about all this and much more.
